His Divine Creation........Nature!

“So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:21

I grew up on a small farm in Northeast Mississippi, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was a simple place, surrounded by hardwood timber and fields of hay. I can remember as a boy that was the best place on earth. I could go outside and simple be on a vacation in my own time.

To look back on the things that amazed me as a child, I see a big part of me is still looking at life as that child. It is so easy to look around and see God’s hand on everything. The big oaks that shed the shadows from their great canopies, the grass that sways with God’s great winds, and the rivers that flow with the water from the earth that couldn’t have come but from our maker.

The plan that He had in mind when He created the outdoors is nothing short of a miracle. The canvas that He painted with each stroke of His brush can’t be recreated in a painting or by a camera at the hands of a skillful photographer. No, it is simply His creation.

The thought that He made this wonderful place just for us. To escape, to find peace, and to enjoy in our own way is a wonderful thought.

There is no doubt that He saw that “it was good!” There is no other way to look at it. So today as you drive to work, sit in your office, or take a stroll off the beaten path, take a minute to draw in what is around you and see what He saw. The true beauty of His creation!
